Connect, Share, and Enhance Practice
Educators and Early Learning Childcare programs can join this online Practice-Based Learning Community (PLC) to connect, share ideas, and learn from one another as they engage in dialogue and reflect on Flight Framework explorations in practice.
Participants may join one PLC and commit to participating with that learning community for all monthly sessions guided by experienced facilitators.

Practice-Based Learning Community Topics
Topics for ARCQE’s Practice-Based Learning Communities change annually. Explore our current topic offerings below:
PLC 1 – Indoor Responsive Environments
Explore how thoughtful room design, materials, and educator interactions can create welcoming environments where children experience belonging, curiosity, and engagement. Together, participants will reflect on how environments support relationships, learning, identity, and meaningful play.
PLC 2 – Pedagogical Documentation
Discover how pedagogical documentation can make children’s learning visible and meaningful. Participants will explore practical approaches to documentation, including photos, learning stories, and reflective practices that honour children’s experiences while remaining manageable and authentic.
PLC 3 – Outdoor Responsive Environments
Explore the outdoors as a rich learning environment that supports inquiry, imagination, movement, well-being, and connection to land. Through discussion and reflection, educators will consider how outdoor experiences can become an integral part of a responsive environment.
PLC 4- Responsive Planning
Examine planning as a reflective and responsive process rooted in children’s interests, observations, and learning dispositions. Participants will strengthen their confidence in connecting observations, pedagogical documentation, and curriculum decision-making within the reflective planning cycle.
