The Alberta Resource Centre for Quality Enhancement (ARCQE) is a province-wide agency focused on building the capacity of early childhood educators while supporting quality service delivery in licensed, regulated early learning programs serving children birth-12 years of age.
Opportunities with ARCQE evolve annually based on evolving ministry priorities and may include provincial office team openings, governance opportunities serving on the ARCQE Board, and project engagement options. Coaching, Mentoring, and Pedagogical Partner roles are the primary employment opportunities offered.

Become a Mentor, Coach or Pedagogical Partner
Engage in high-level pedagogical leadership training and professional learning to effectively guide delivery of practice-based coaching for educators, program leaders, and sites with support services related to their early learning practice.
Share Your Expertise
Are you a highly skilled and experienced early learning Educator or Program Leader?
Join our community of energetic and knowledgeable early learning and care professionals passionate about sharing their expertise with others in the early learning field.
Mentor or Early Learning Coach Qualifications
- Minimum five years practical experience as a Level III serving children from birth – 12 years in licensed care.
- Relevant practice experience in one or more service areas of the sector (i.e., centre-based care, family child care, preschool, out of school care, child care administration, academic instruction, and research-related work, related project work).
- Comfortable in a support role with strong communication and writing skills.

ARCQE seeks to contract highly skilled and knowledgeable early learning and care professionals who are passionate about sharing their practice expertise with other professionals.
Be a Mentor: If you are well experienced as a facilitator, confident with public speaking, and have extensive experience at various levels of practice in early learning and dynamic presentation delivery, you may be well suited to the role of Mentor supporting the delivery of professional development with ARCQE.
Be a Child Care Coach or Pedagogical Partner: If you have extensive practical experience working in multiple levels of the field (teaching post-secondary, supervision/leadership of others, have held diverse positions within the sector), enjoy opportunities for supporting reflective dialogue, have strong interpersonal and communication skills and have in-depth knowledge and experience of the Flight Framework, Child Development, Cultural Diversity, or Regulatory Support you may be a strong candidate for Coaching or serving as a Pedagogical Partner.
