What is the Spark Mentorship Program?
The Spark Mentorship Program is a companion support service developed by the Alberta Resource Centre for Quality Enhancement (ARCQE) to work directly with programs to implement and apply Spark Guide strategies. Cultural Partners collaborate with Program Leaders to recognize and respond to the rich cultural diversity in their programs and communities.
Who: It is for Alberta-based licensed early learning and child care programs and agencies serving children aged birth to 6 years old.
Where: It is delivered through a combination of on-site support and virtual engagement exploring cultural conversation threads.
How: Currently, this program is being offered as a pilot project initiative with 15 participating programs across Alberta. Unfortunately, it is not open for enrolment at this time.
We welcome programs interested in participating to please fill out the expression of interest below should the program continue in the future.
What is the Spark Guide?
The Spark Guide offers a much-needed resource in today’s increasingly diverse world. It is a practical resource for Alberta early learning and childcare providers looking for tools that effectively support children and families from various cultural backgrounds.
