Reflections on Practice Support Service

Focusing on continuous quality improvement.

  • Quality Enhancement

Is your program focused on continuous quality improvement?

The Reflections on Practice Service employing the Caregiver Interaction Scale (CIS) can provide your program with a formal review of the quality of interactions between educators and children throughout your program.

Research shows that caregivers are the single most influential indicator of quality in early learning programs; this service was expressly created employing the CIS tool as a means of providing agencies with an “evidence-based” report on:

  • Consistency of practice between caregivers/providers working together in one agency,
  • Consistency of practice across all rooms/day homes within an agency,
  • Consistency of practice in written policy is subject to program philosophy.

The report generated by ARCQE also provides programs/agencies with a number of follow-up recommendations and services that can assist in identifying long-term strategies and goals for maintaining high-quality educator/child interactions that align with upholding regulatory requirements and strengthening practice.
